A special community of fewer than 500 people, Ulukhaktok is nestled on the western side of Victoria Island in the far North of the Northwest Territories. It boasts a unique landscape and is known as the best place to get materials for creating the ulu – a traditional Inuit knife.

Traditional arts and crafts are a big part of Ulukhaktok's culture. Inuvialuit printmakers based in Ulukhaktok have been recognized around the world for their magnificent work and visitors can find artists' prints, muskox horn carvings and qiviut products (the warm undercoat of the muskox) at the Ulukhaktok Art Centre.

No trip to Ulukhaktok is complete without teeing off at the 9-hole Ulukhaktok Golf Club. The northernmost golf course in the world hosts the Billy Jose Celebrity Golf Tournament every summer and attracts competitors from all over North America— including players from the Edmonton Oilers and Eskimos.

The fun doesn't stop at the golfing though. During the tournament, guests can enjoy excursions to traditional areas where Arctic Char and Northern Lake Trout are harvested.
