Tuktoyaktuk, NT

Tuktoyaktuk is located on the shores of the Arctic Ocean, commonly referred to as “Tuk”. This is a small Inuvialuit community, connected by road to Southern Canada by the Inuvik-Tuk Highway, an all-season road which opened in November 2017. Tuk is 150 kilometres north of Inuvik.

Visitors to Tuk enjoy the opportunity to dip their toes in the frigid Arctic Ocean, take a tour of nearby “pingo” hills and immerse themselves in Inuvialuit culture and traditional including sampling traditional food.
